As a professional translator, I believe in giving back to the community. That's why I offer my services to needy organizations and individuals at reduced rates or free of charge, on a case by case basis. My availability for such projects is limited, however, I encourage you to send me your requests and I will do my best to help you.
All of my translations and business practices follow the professional ethics outlined by the ATA which can be found here at the ATA's Code of Ethics website.
In addition to the code of ethics outlined by the ATA, I also follow a personal code of ethics as well as the Hieronymic Oath:
I'm available Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm Eastern Standard Time. However, I am also available for rush, evening and weekend translation projects, subject to prior booking and/or availability. Generally, I work only from German or Japanese into English, but I also have a strong network of colleagues who work into German and Japanese as well, so please do not hesitate to contact me with your document. I will be glad to help you myself or find someone who can.
